And That's Why Mommy & Daddy Are Twitching
At least three times a week my wife and I look at each other and say something along the lines of, "They have to be doing this to us on purpose." Maybe the four small humans we are raising just happen to try to push all of our buttons at once, or maybe there is a coordinated effort of trying to push mom and dad over the edge. I don't want to sound conspiratorial, but I tend to think the second option is the more likely.
Each of our four offspring has a different way of going about it. Take this exchange with the four-year-old Ballerina as an example.
We were driving somewhere in the van and she wanted to know who was going to be the one to get her out of her car seat.
Ballerina: Is Dad going to get me out or Mom?
Me: Mom.
Ballerina: Mom what?
Me: Is going to get you out.
Ballerina: Out of what?
Yep, these are my children.
