This Week's Edition of Questions I Don't Know How to Answer
This morning brought another school drop-off with the five-year-old zoologist and three-year-old ballerina. As usual a car ride of any length (more than 30 seconds) also brought with it a question that I struggled to answer.
For some reason bobcats were at the forefront of the zoologist's thinking. He began wanting to know what I would do if a bobcat was on the hood. My answer, that I would swerve until the bobcat fell off, was greeted with some skepticism and concern for the bobcat.
Then came the question that found me once again grasping for words and failing. "Dad, what would you do if the bobcat crashed through the windshield. I tried to answer, I failed. Apparently, "Get out of the car and call the police," wasn't a sufficient answer.
